Pasithea, known as Pasi to family and friends, is a former Olympian who never quite fit in up there, happily residing nowadays in the Underworld married to God of Sleep Hypnos. The Goddess of Relaxation, she is the source of peace in her highly anxious (albeit sleepy) Chthonic household of her husband and their children, Icelos and Phobetor. A minor character in the Elysium'verse, just like her husband Pasi is usually found napping.
Appearance
Pasi has light lavender skin and light pink irises. Her hair, set back with a headband behind her bangs, is a cascade of ringlet curls silver in tone, metallic and shining like tinsel (a unique trait shared with her sisters). Despite being over 2,000 years old, Pasi's physical appearance is that of a young woman in her mid-twenties, and she is 5'2", small, stout, and cute.
Pasi wears very little makeup, and is adorned in simple gold jewelry (plain earrings and a necklace) transplanted from her days on Olympus. She dresses, these days, in mixed color palettes of lighter shades of gray-ish blue or gray-ish teal, always accented with black - a staple of Underworld style. Pasi was born and raised as an Olympian, and before she and Hypnos had gotten married, her go-to fabrics had been shades of bright turquoise and blues, before transitioning to a slightly gothier, grayer look (Hypnos, who'd started off in black, met her halfway in the other direction when he started to dress in blues and lighter grays at the very same time). Pasi does not have a specific emblem that she wears as a chiton pin, just using simple small golden circles.
Perpetually exhausted like the rest of her immediate family, Pasi delights in the dark circles around her eyes.
Powers & abilities
As a goddess, Pasi shares the basic abilities most deities possess, such as full immortality, teleportation, and the ability to summon objects at will.
Pasi is the Goddess of Relaxation, and can physically see tension and stress visible in other people both gods and mortals, having described this phenomenon like looking at a "tangled ball of string." As most deities have specialized powers that pertain to their specific realms, Pasi's role as Goddess comes with the ability to easily untangle these stressors with a warm clasp of her hand and a gentle purple glow. Unlike her husband, Pasi's powers are controllable, and a mere accidental touch may only be soothing due to Pasi's kind personality rather than supernatural ability, until she wills it otherwise.
However like her husband, Pasi can magically put someone to sleep, albeit with much more effort. There's not often a need to do this, as Pasi merely putting her powers in effect will calm someone down to the point of allowing them the opportunity to drift softly into peaceful sleep at their own pace. Still if the need really arose, her relaxation powers can increase in strength to wash over anyone who may need it, slowing them further and further down until they collapse... gently.
Though Pasi is a strong proponent of non-magical coping strategies to deal with the anxiety pervasive within her husband and eldest son, Icelos, in emergency situations and moments of spiraling panic, Pasi's abilities are an absolute saving grace for her family, as well as for the palace multiple times through canon in moments of distress.
