King first, husband second - and that’s the whole list, being a father did not make the priority cut.

Hades is a minor character in the Elysium'verse, and his direct involvement in any canon events took place in the very early beginning of our OC world's construction, long before his retcon into this current version. Estranged from his daughter Macaria for about a decade past and into the current day, his role here exists mostly as a background figure of her past, and of course as the ever-present monarch of the Underworld in which Maci & company live.

Appearance

Hades is a little over 6 feet tall, with a cobalt blue-gray skintone and black hair, coiffed and spiked high above his head almost like an amalgamation of flame. His neat beard is black, as are the sclerae of his eyes, but his irises are a startling, severe bright yellow. Signatures of his Underworld inheritance, his ingrained realm, are found beyond this appearance in the presence of fanged teeth, and blackened extremities more severe than that found in his immediate family (Seph, Maci). Within Hades, the Underworld darkness is visible in his ears, nose, all of his limbs - and encroaches ever onwards through the presence of dark, deeply visible veins that spiral prominently upon his face. Usually saddled with a gloomy and irritated expression, Hades dresses imposingly, all black, in flowing and heavy robes, thick layers, and a sweeping cape.

He often wears a crown constructed from jutting black entangled spikes fanned out to encircle his head like extruding barbed wire rather than a halo. Hades' signature chiton pin is a collection of intricately carved crystallized faces, skeletal in nature and contorted into ghastly screams, clumped together into a cluster.

His wedding band is a white crystal flower ring and is always present.
