The long answer is, the Elysium'verse takes place primarily in the setting of the Ancient(loosely modern day) Greek Underworld and roughly about half of our characters have legitimate basis as existing Ancient Greek Chthonic mythological figures of varying levels of obscurity. The other half, after natural progression of over a decade, consist of either of some characters just pulled from thin air, or second and third generation babies (and offspring who have grown up).
